And so it Begins…

Psssssst…… Over here…. I’m hiding out from the Era of JASON under this box and hopefully I can get through this entry without much delay… but it’s all in a days work for Jasyn.com!!!

I know I’m a bit later than my normal entry, but this past week has been one heck of a ride in itself and it all leads into the start of the Era of JASON… Let’s begin..

Last weekend while at work a friend of mine invited me out to the River for his birthday, He had some family and his wife coming out and wanted to have one of his friends also join the party! Well what an adventure that turned out to be… First off, when I got there I found out that Josh and his family were going to be late, I just didn’t realize it was going to be 2 hours later [In Arizona, 2 hours of sun is just about setting the oven on high and backing for a full day!] Well once we were all finally tied together and ready to hit the river, we hit some rapids in about 15-20 mins from when we launched… Well this flipped me off my tube, but least I saved my beer… However with the depth of the water I couldn’t get back in my tube and I was basically hanging from the tube for about an hour and a half… Well we did stop off for a moment to get me back in the tube and to stretch our legs as it were on dry land… but after launching again and about an hour down the river, we cam across some more rapids. However, this time the group ahead of us apparently lost their keys in the rapids and stopped their tubes and were literally standing up in the middle of the rapids… with it already being too late, we crashed in to them and almost dragged two of them under… Needless to say that after this we pulled off again to account for everything and to just rest from that almost near death experience…. You’d think that’d be enough for one day, but in typical Jasyn.com fashion; it wasn’t…. On the final leg where I was going to get off anyways, but while trying to get the tubes and raft to shore, I got caught up in the current and was dragged 80 yards down the river into some more rapids and was basically fighting for dear life to get upright and get ashore… Although it took every last bit of energy I had, I was able to get on shore and lived to see another day… Needless to say, I was out of breath, energy, and after 6 hours in the sun, I was ready to call it a day…

Monday was much needed to rest up, but unfortunately it was marred by UPS and their lack of customer service and a lack of any clue where my package actually was… But without getting into too much, I didn’t get my package til Tuesday, but only after 4 phone calls and 2 trips to the Distribution center… Oiy…

Well Moving right along, Wednesday I needed to stock up on provisions [ grocery shopping at Fry's]… I did really well in shopping and pretty much have everything I need for the next couple of weeks however when I got home I needed to make room and cleared our any left over left in the fridge… This was a great idea except when I used the garbage disposal I ended up clogging the sink… [EPIC FAIL]… Dad came by on Wednesday to show me how to clear the trap, but this didn’t work and I thought for sure that I was going to have to fork out a $300 bill to a plumber to clear my drain… well as a last ditch effort, I ran to Sears and bought a 25′ drain auger, and after about an hour and a half’s worth of effort and being covered up to my elbows in black sludge, I cleared the drain and took the 2nd longest shower in my life! But needless to say, Sink Victory was MINE!!!!!

Now this weekend with the 4th of July coming up tomorrow, and with Susan in Detroit, I’ll be hanging out with my folks and getting my slosh on! My only fear is ending up with a cactus in my leg like I did last year where I ended up with a cactus in my leg… Well I guess all I can say for now is, let’s get this show on the road!

[ Happy 4th of July Everyone! ]
