Susan’s Birthday Weekend

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Good morning everyone! And Welcome once again to Jasyn.com!

Phew, what a weekend… For some reason I always have something going and just seems to take a lot out of me, but again I’d rather be doing something than nothing at all… [Sometimes it's nice but not all the time] And this weekend was no exception to the norm… Let’s get started shall we :)

Well Susan had her birthday last Thursday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART!), and unfortunately due to some bad communication on my part, Susan thought that I was stopping by on her birthday to see her… This was not the case and she a little upset that she didn’t get to see me on her birthday… Figuring that I was going to see her on Friday thru the reset of the weekend, I sent her flowers for her birthday instead…  After a heartfelt apology, she accepted and after seeing the flowers she felt a little better…

Friday however didn’t end up much better, as Susan found out that all teachers in her district with less than4 years experience were getting let go due to funding by the state… The only way she can keep her job is for a state tax initiative to pass… Now NORMALLY I don’t discuss politics… But Please vote YES on Prop100 to help out all our teachers, firefighters and officers keep their jobs in Arizona! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE vote… not just for Susan, but we need this for everyone and the state needs a better budget and if you’re in Arizona, you know how bad we need this too! And that’s my political announcement for this entry… :) My name is Jasyn and I approve this message!

Well Aside from that, I picked up Susan and we headed back to the house to pick up some supplies for Susan and then headed back to my place [Working Saturday's Suck!] but that’s a story for another entry! But after work we had celebratory margaritas at Macayo’s which was just across the street from me… we walked there to have dinner and drinks… We had a great time and even my neighbor Josh came and joined us for drinks :D it was a great time! Sunday we finally got to go the Renaissance Festival out in Gold Canyon, but we had tried to get breakfast first… That was a Trek all it’s own, after trying place after place that had anywhere between 20-40 mins to wait for a table… After driving around for a while, we found this nice little restaurant in Apache Junction, which turned out to be a huge surprise becuase the food was cheap but very filling :D so that worked out after all…

We got to the RenFair just after 11 or so, We had a blast and did quite a bit… We watched a couple performances, got our characture drawn by a professional, then we had a great lunch while we were there, and even had our hands sculpted in wax! It was fun for me too being these were things I haven’t done before either, so it was great times had by all… and then after 6 hours at the RenFair we left to go back home…

Again another adventure filled weekend with booze and wenches! lol… well now I’ll be getting started on moving items into the house, the final move date has been set for the weekend of May 22nd! So if I have more delays in entries in the future, you’ll know why :) But hopefully those will be kept at a minimum… But until next time! Don’t get fooled Thursday!

[Spring is in the AIR! AHHH CHOOO!]

Oh Where, Oh Where Did My Entry Go?

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

Sorry again about the delay my friends, and welcome again to another entry to Jasyn.com!

Things have been mighty busy for Ol’ Jasyn here… and everything [within reason] will be passed along to you in this entry.  Again the past two weeks have been busy for me, with helping Susan move, getting bronchitis, moving some of my stuff, and also just traveling from the new house back to the apartment! It’s quite grueling actually… but again it will be all worth it in the end I’m sure!

Well A couple weeks ago, the day after my last entry, I was coming down with something bad… I was coughing horribly and was really short of breath… Come to find out I had bronchitis after going to Urgent Care and that was just the beginning… apparently I have allergies that have been activating my asthma as well which basically made life a whole lot better [sarcasm is fun when typing]… so this basically sidelined from work for 4 days (actually 6 but 2 days were over the weekend)… fun fun fun times…. ugh… So now that I’m over that, I’ll be investing into some vitamins… Hopefully that’ll help out in the long run :-\

Also while I was sick, we had the move finally come up to move into the new house and get everything of Susan’s into the house. After signing the lease on Friday, we did a brief walk through, it became abundantly clear that we needed to clean the house before we moved in… So even though we were sick as hell, I couldn’t breath, and we both having a lack of energy to actually do it; Saturday night we cleaned the house by sweeping, mopping and bleaching the house in it’s entirety [okay well the inside] and that took so much energy to get done… Then came the move on Sunday… Luckily Susan was a genius by hiring a couple of her friend’s sons to help us with the heavy items to put into the UHaul that we rented, or we wouldn’t have even gotten close to finishing on Sunday! and that was pretty much it… It took us about 6 hours from start to finish to get everything out of the Condo and into the house and 2 Round trips with the truck, but it was all in and then we started setting up the house that afternoon!… Oiy there’s never any rest for the weary…

After getting everything moved in, we kept finding issues after issues with the house… First off there was no Water [We called the water company too late on Friday and couldn't get service til Monday], Then the front and back were riddled with weeds, none of the outside lights worked, and also Cable was out [so no internet or TV]… and then the landscaper the management person hired while getting the weeds he hit a rock and shattered one of our Arcadia glass doors… -_- needless to say we were not pleased…  But even after all those issues, our resolve hasn’t changed and we’re still going to make this house into a home in no time at all!

During the week there wasn’t much going on, I did pick up Susan on Friday and she stayed over night til Saturday, and after work we headed back to the house to stay over there… Sunday we celebrated Susan’s birthday with my folks… It was really a surprise because Susan had no idea we were getting her a cake and everything… [Her birthday is really Thursday, but who can wait for cake ;) ] lol… And then we went home after an exasperating week and a new one to start just around the corner… Monday Kris and I caught a movie, Green Zone, and had dinner at the Fox and the Hound which was in Glendale… It was nice to hang with my bro for a change, we haven’t done that in a long time either!

Pretty much now you’re caught up now! Sorry these entries have been regularly 2 weeks apart, as opposed to my normal weekly entries… hopefully I’ll get back to weeklies for a period of time, but starting next week I’ll be getting my act together to start moving into the house as well! But Til then I’m going to kick back with a well deserved rest!

Gettting Down to the Nitty Gritty!

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

Good Morning Everyone! And welcome to Jasyn.com, All Jasyn, All the time…. and of course friend and family are always welcome! And if this is your first time here, Welcome as well!

Well we have a busy entry this week and forgive me with out a proper introduction that I normally do for my entries… Also I wanted to make sure that I posted this week cuz I’ve been getting some ‘feedback’ about my entries not being on time! But without further Delay!!!!

This past week has been extremely busy for both Susan and myself… Friday is the big day!!! The Day we sign in and get our house… and moving day is setup to be on Susan where we’ll get a truck and get everything moved in! Luckily Susan has all next week off for spring break so that she can get setup and settled down in the new place… I’m excited, and on Friday and Saturday I’ll be bringing over a few things as well, but nothing much that will take up too much time… But more information and pictures of the new place will be up after the move is completed!

This past weekend was Really busy too… Saturday after work, my new poker chip labels came in for my poker set… So I grabbed my chips, packed a bag and headed up to Susan’s condo in Glendale as I normally do… However after talking with my folks, my mom and dad were going out for my mom’s birthday [Which is normally done more towards the 14th or March, however my mother is leaving for Michigan before her birthday]… Well we had dinner at Bill Johnson’s up in North Phoenix and met up about 7:30ish… after finding one of them closed down and headed to another one that was a bit a ways but not too far out there… and also I haven’t had their BBQ Ribs in forever, and all-u-can-eat is just up my alley! [NO I DIDN'T PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS!!! (you know who you are!)] But it was a nice relaxing evening after a long day…

Sunday went entirely too fast… We went to bed late, but didn’t get up very late either… But before we knew it, it was already the afternoon, and I had another birthday party to attend… My friend Spring’s Son (J.T.) just turned 13 this past week, and Spring invited me to the party… unfortunately we couldn’t stay long and had to go to run a few more errands but it was fun and nice to see J.T. and Spring again!

Pretty much that wraps up my weekend, this week is going to be busy again as well… and hopefully by the end of the week we’ll have everything ready to go and start moving everything to the new house! But It’s still a few days away and now the countdown begins! Well that’s all I have kiddos! Til next week!

We Wii Oui!!!

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

My goodness, what is up with me… I just can’t seem to get a rhythm with these entries this year… That’s okay!!! Jasyn.com Does not disappoint, and comes back for more!!!

Well now with the start of March come and gone I’ve been coordinating with Susan to start getting the first phases of our move in order… Susan and I have the final papers to sign for the lease on Friday the 12th, then the moving commences on the 13th! Hopefully it’ll only take a trip with a moving truck to get everything loaded into the house and Susan will spend the rest of the week [spring break] sorting it all out and getting our new house and turning it into a home for the next year :)

Well since for a while we’re going to be very busy and getting organized, I decided to get Susan’s birthday gift a little early this year… I had this planned anyway for getting her gift, but since it would be crazy for a while I decided to get it now… Susan, for as long as I’ve known her, always wanted a Nintendo Wii… Well after several attempts of going to stores like Games Stop, Best Buy, Fry’s Electronics and even [GAG!] Walmart… [OH am I glad Walmart didn't have it... Susan thought we should try Target... Admittedly I did scoff a bit at the idea... I mean if all those other stores that have more of a emphasis on their electronics department, why would Target have one.... and thus Susan was right... Target of all places did have a Wii... infact, they had 3 of them... O_o ... well better Target than Walmart anyday!

So now with that expense out of the way, and with a bigger place to move into on the way... Susan and I have an extra room that we decided to turn into a exercise/entertainment room.... Thus Susan and I made a deal... If she gets' a treadmill or elliptical machine, I get a poker table! Well... I couldn't wait, so I was looking online for tables and not really finding anything decent for anything less than $180-$200 or so... Then it hit me! and I tried Craigslist... I found a really great table for $100 and it seats 8 people and it's in great shape too!!! It's virtually brand new!! So Sorry Suze... I got mine first so we'll need to get yours next :)

Really for the past two weeks there hasn't been much as in eventful happenings... but just a ton of busy busy work in getting ready for the move and last week we just vegged out... so now with the move lest than 2 weeks away we're just getting setup... I myself wont be able to move til May, but I'm going to get started later this month with the packing of things I don't need up... But then again I'm really excited to get this done!!!... Well it's time to head on out and get back to work... ugh... I need a vacation!

[ Moving day is fast approaching ]
