Well it’s good be home again, and that means time for a new update for Jasyn.com!
Well if some of you came to my site within the last week you might have noticed my little header that said that I was goin to the Indianapolis 500! [I say might only because who actually reads everything I put on my site]… But here’s how I made it to the Indy 500 and the week I’ve had since my last update!
Well on Tuesday [the day after I updated my site] GoDaddy did a drawing for a trip for 2 to Indianapolis for the Indy 500! and my name was drawn out of everyone at the call center to go! Honestly this took me completely by surprise because I am usually the last person to win at a drawing! But sure enough Mr. Bob Parsons himself had a slip with my name on it!
So after work on Thursday I took a 6:22PM Flight direct from Phoenix to Indianapolis, and checked into the Westin Hotel at about 2AM [They're on daylight savings time, HAHA!]… Well the coordinator, Paula, hooked us up with everything, including Pit passes, maps, Garage Passes, and seats behind pit row for the actual race! Not to mention an Meet and Greet with Danica Patrick herself! Honestly I was flabbergasted by how well this all was put together for us….
Well on Friday we did walk around the track and met with Danica, but then after that we went to the local mall called “Circle Center Mall” that’s in Downtown Indy and caught the New Pirates III movie in theaters! On Saturday Jennifer and I walked to the Indianapolis Zoo, and to tell you the truth, that zoo was so trashy and run down I’m surprised there were any visitors, then I realized they just opened a new Shark exibit that afternoon and that was acutally pretty cool, they allowed you to pet these little Dog Sharks [Don't look at me I didn't name the things]… Then we went to the mall after the zoo, had some dinner then I took Jen on a romantic Carriage ride through downtown Indianapolis just to kinda treat Jen to something she would enjoy…
Sunday was race day, and when we left the hotel we knew the weather was going to play a factor… It started to rain at about 8AM and we were just walking to the buses, Mind you the rain did stop about 8:45AM… The Race did begin on-time, but only after 113 Laps the race was delayed because of the rain… The race was in a rain-delay for about 3 hours, in which I took a nap, but the race got underway about 6PM, and another Rain Cell dropped in about an hour later…. 163 Laps into the race, which then the officials just called it there and ended it… Oh well…
I just got back into town yesterday, so the pictures and video from the race are in my Pics section! so check them out! I will put more up there when I have them uploaded, but I did get my video posted as well, Hopefully soon I’ll put up my pics of Danica up there!!!! Well I’m going to bolt! [no pun intended]… See you all next time!
