Susan Comes Home & Happy Birthday Andrew

July 28th, 2010

Hello again my friends, welcome to another previously delayed entry from Jasyn.com… Thank you for your patience and allowing me to get you a entry that is worthy of my faithful readers as well as having the time set aside where I can fully divuldge all the information possible to everyone! So again without further aideu….

Well since my last entry, Susan was in Michigan and was finally coming home! So as a surprise I decided to leave early and get to the airport before she arrived so that I can meet her in the terminal! Well my plan was a bit disrupted becuase the airline Susan was using ended up being 2 hours late! So I ended up going home for a bit before heading to the airport to pick her up. It did work out to my advantage, because no sooner did she try and call me when she was coming out of the security checkpoint, she saw me and was very surprised and very happy to see me :D We then left the airport, picked up a pizza and chilled out the rest of the night!

Well the next day, of all days, I ended up getting sick and had to stay home the next couple days… Not exactly sure what happened but it did sideline me for a few days… but also during the weekend Susan and I were able to see Dispicable Me [then Grownups] and started watching Nip/Tuck on DVD [I got her sucked into the drama]… and we also got started with unpacking more stuff that has been still stacked in the second bedroom… but We rocked it and now we’re deciding exactly what we want to do with the second bedroom… can anyone say FUTON! [mabye....]

After a very exhausting week, we ordered and built a new pantry and later a bookshelf, over the weekend we celebrated my son’s, Andrew’s birthday on Sunday… My Aunt and Monte were in town and we all hung out at my parents house all day… We had a great time with being in the pool and having a great dinner, and just lounging about pretty much all day… It was a nice relaxing day!

Well Other than all that, things are going pretty smooth thus far… However starting today I’ll most likely be doing a chiropractor regiment… Also Susan and I have been readdressing getting myself on the LapBand, but nothing in definite just yet… I’ll keep you all posted as usual.. but until next time… Stay cool out there!

Where do we go from here? ]

The Hangover: Jasyn.com

July 6th, 2010

Okay dim the lights and keep the voices low, it's time for another entry from Jasyn.com... Hangover edition... Okay so maybe I'm not hung over since the 4th, but I might as well have been with the way I party!

With the 4th here and gone, the only thing I can say is that, at least I got paid for a normal day off [LOL] it's just too bad I really wasn't scheduled to work so that I get the extra day off AND get paid for it! Needless to say, I did not waste the opportunity to utilize the 4th to it's fullest! However, on Saturday night after work, Kris and I caught up together over at Harkins and saw 'The Karate Kid'. The movie was excellent, and it was great gettin' to hang out with Kris again.

The next day, Early afternoon I headed over to my folks, I figured a day of drinking and being poolside was just what the doctor ordered! After about 6 or 7 Margaritas and a shot of goldshlogger [good stuff], mom and I were totally smashed!

The most hilarious part was that even though my dad was having a few beers he wasn't partying very much and my brother just went and took a nap right after he got home from work... [He's kinda a party pooper]... then it all came crashing down... and I was the only one left standing... because everyone else had already hit the deck... it just goes to show you, "Once you drink with the best, you'll pass out like the rest."

This forth ended up being great times! Even if everyone kinda passed out early... Kris did wake up and we did watch Fight Club, but after midnight I passed out myself and called it a night from there! And after a great night of sleep, I helped my father get his work truck back from the plant, then headed home to organize my baseball collection which only took me about 10 years to get finished :-\ ... oh well... least this year I avoided the cactus! LOL... well until next time!

And so it Begins…

July 3rd, 2010

Psssssst…… Over here…. I’m hiding out from the Era of JASON under this box and hopefully I can get through this entry without much delay… but it’s all in a days work for Jasyn.com!!!

I know I’m a bit later than my normal entry, but this past week has been one heck of a ride in itself and it all leads into the start of the Era of JASON… Let’s begin..

Last weekend while at work a friend of mine invited me out to the River for his birthday, He had some family and his wife coming out and wanted to have one of his friends also join the party! Well what an adventure that turned out to be… First off, when I got there I found out that Josh and his family were going to be late, I just didn’t realize it was going to be 2 hours later [In Arizona, 2 hours of sun is just about setting the oven on high and backing for a full day!] Well once we were all finally tied together and ready to hit the river, we hit some rapids in about 15-20 mins from when we launched… Well this flipped me off my tube, but least I saved my beer… However with the depth of the water I couldn’t get back in my tube and I was basically hanging from the tube for about an hour and a half… Well we did stop off for a moment to get me back in the tube and to stretch our legs as it were on dry land… but after launching again and about an hour down the river, we cam across some more rapids. However, this time the group ahead of us apparently lost their keys in the rapids and stopped their tubes and were literally standing up in the middle of the rapids… with it already being too late, we crashed in to them and almost dragged two of them under… Needless to say that after this we pulled off again to account for everything and to just rest from that almost near death experience…. You’d think that’d be enough for one day, but in typical Jasyn.com fashion; it wasn’t…. On the final leg where I was going to get off anyways, but while trying to get the tubes and raft to shore, I got caught up in the current and was dragged 80 yards down the river into some more rapids and was basically fighting for dear life to get upright and get ashore… Although it took every last bit of energy I had, I was able to get on shore and lived to see another day… Needless to say, I was out of breath, energy, and after 6 hours in the sun, I was ready to call it a day…

Monday was much needed to rest up, but unfortunately it was marred by UPS and their lack of customer service and a lack of any clue where my package actually was… But without getting into too much, I didn’t get my package til Tuesday, but only after 4 phone calls and 2 trips to the Distribution center… Oiy…

Well Moving right along, Wednesday I needed to stock up on provisions [ grocery shopping at Fry's]… I did really well in shopping and pretty much have everything I need for the next couple of weeks however when I got home I needed to make room and cleared our any left over left in the fridge… This was a great idea except when I used the garbage disposal I ended up clogging the sink… [EPIC FAIL]… Dad came by on Wednesday to show me how to clear the trap, but this didn’t work and I thought for sure that I was going to have to fork out a $300 bill to a plumber to clear my drain… well as a last ditch effort, I ran to Sears and bought a 25′ drain auger, and after about an hour and a half’s worth of effort and being covered up to my elbows in black sludge, I cleared the drain and took the 2nd longest shower in my life! But needless to say, Sink Victory was MINE!!!!!

Now this weekend with the 4th of July coming up tomorrow, and with Susan in Detroit, I’ll be hanging out with my folks and getting my slosh on! My only fear is ending up with a cactus in my leg like I did last year where I ended up with a cactus in my leg… Well I guess all I can say for now is, let’s get this show on the road!

A Father’s Day Splash Down!

June 22nd, 2010

Another week in the books, and Jasyn.com keeps rolling along! Welcome again everyone to another entry brought to you from Me to you by me; Jasyn.com :D This week defiantly had it’s up’s and downs… But when it came to the weekend, we all came out on top!

Well this week kinda dragged along for the most part, a bit of a distraction in the middle of the week, but mostly by the end of the week everything was taken care of. Finally we were able to get a maintenance guy to the house to fix all the little odds and ends that needed to be done since just about when we moved in. Boy what a pain that was just to get someone to show up when they say they would, then ACTUALLY do the work right… amazing how the concept escapes most people… Needless to say that we’re pretty caught up on the work in the house and ready to finally finish the unpacking, but we’ll have to wait up on that because now Susan is leaving for Detroit on Friday… She’ll be leaving for about 3 weeks (not quite but close)… I’m going to be alone… [and most likely bored out of my flippin' mind... well maybe I can catch up on some poker games]…

Well aside from that, this weekend had Fathers day in it! and This was the first ‘Fathers day’ that I actually celebrated since losing my son… Where I felt it was not only a day for my Father, but also a Day for myself as well… We had planned out a awesome day over at Wet n’ Wild up in Phoenix, which used to be Waterworld but was torn down to make room for a new water park that is much bigger and badder! My Father, Mother, Brother, Susan and myself all got together Sunday and headed up early in the morning to enjoy our Sunday together… Other than some ‘Sibling Bickering’ the day really was awesome and my plan for a great family day out came through!

Monday pretty much was my body saying, “I’M NOT DOING A BLASTED THING!” and I slept in til about 10:30 in the morning, and I didn’t even stay up that night… ugh… but I did help Susan with the laundry a bit by installing the clothesline and helping to hang the laundry outside to save us some money on electricity… We’re really doing an awesome job in conserving around the house, and doing a great job of managing money, but times are still rough and now that bills are under control we’ll be able to save some money and even do a trip this winter to Michigan as well! Or so I hope….

Well Today I get my new phone :D I can’t wait for that [and been buggin' the heck out of Susan with my anticipation, but she'll live ;) ] and Friday she’ll be off to Michigan… Well better start buying boxed lunches, or I’ll end up starving myself for 2 and a half weeks… 0_o…. well here’s to hoping… LOL… Til next week my friends!

The Loom of Impending Doom: Era of JASON Style

June 16th, 2010

Well it’s that time of year folks… No it’s not Christmas, No It’s not someone’s birthday… and No it’s not necessarily good news…. It’s the Era of JASON that is upon us… Okay well mainly it doesn’t affect the majority, but still… It always seems to be the most significant 5 months out of the year for some reason… Maybe it’s just paranoia or maybe it’s not, but for some reason the past few years I’ve gotten away pretty free and clear, but always this time of year I get the feeling for impending doom…

Some of you may know already, but some of you may not, the ERA of JASON happens between the months of JULY through NOVEMBER and spells out the name JASON…. So it goes something like this

July
August
September
October
November

Normally during these months in the past, some of the worst possible luck has happened to either me or people close to me. Now it might be sheer coincidence [or simple math, that these 5 months take up 42% of the year so odds are it would happen on those months] but either way there’s no denying that in the past it has proven to be the proverbial apex of the year and I’m just about to start climbing again…

Well hopefully with everything starting to settle down with the house and work, hopefully this year will be like the previous 2 years and make this whole Era of JASON just disappear into nothing… But here’s to hoping!
